Tom S.Thomas (TS) is an interdisciplinary artist who works with text and images in various configurations and performance.

Involved with numerous public art projects spanning two decades, his use of large, portable text in public spaces (Poetry Installations) made the news on occassion.

In 2000, he was invited by the City of Providence, Rhode Island to participate in its annual International Festival of the Arts. His text installation based on Walt Whitman which floated on the surface of the Providence River was a festival highlight.

He was artist-in-residence at the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art (PICA) in 2002, where he created installations in gallery and on city squares.

Thomas divides his time between his home on Gabriola Island, Vancouver and south east Asia.
